
Publications can be great way to promote advertisements, achievements, and messaging without it beyond a daunting task for the reader. In a world focused around the internet it’s tough to grasp a viewers attention for long.
The first publication I worked on was a bi-annual travel magazine for Arizona “Experience Arizona” that was placed in airports, and travel centers. It was a great way to give readers a good itinerary to build off of. It was loaded with advertisers but they were exciting to read about. Gourmet restaurants, beautiful resorts, top excursions. “Peachtree Press” is a publication I helped bring to life at Peachtree Group. Before it was a newsletter that would highlight openings, transitions, and achievements of hoteliers. By issue 3 I took over the art direction as opposed to the flat color look it was pushed into. I was able to take it to the next level and use my creativity freely from there on out. I am proud of the growth this magazine has taken on. It has been well received by the properties and corporate readers, and continues to be a source of excitement. The culture throughout the company has grown stronger.
